An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
