This young athlete boasts considerable online audience
The young golfer can count on multiple well-known cheerleaders as she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates numerous golf courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to play, relax, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched her own apparel and wellness label.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
