Shot-stopper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): West Ham could have been six behind at Bournemouth but for him. Key display, rose to the occasion and showed top ability. Superb shot-stopping to earn them a 2-2 draw. A loss would have damaged their campaign.

Defensive unit

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's a contender for top performer. Fans mention Gunners' stars. He is the top performer without doubt.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a wild optimist to say 'Murillo nets and we defeat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. The odds were long shots on that. He was excellent. He is turning into a force. He can really be a handful. Pleased to watch him perform as he did previously.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I saw him several occasions the previous season in Italy for AC Milan and he had difficulties due to errors. But at Newcastle he's impressed greatly. He's been really strong and powerful and seems polished. It appears he's found a spiritual home.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a left-back, rather a attacking-minded offensively. He's been a great purchase for Brighton. It's no shock at them discovering another star out of nowhere? It seemed when they got rid of Pervis Estupinan it raised eyebrows but Brighton know what they're doing.

Central players

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Alike in style and they're in for the identical cause. Their teams won, everyone will talk about the goalscorers, but absent these individuals the squads falter. They perform brilliantly. They break up play, they support going forward.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The standout performer. A lot of followers, such as family members, had doubts whether he was the man to secure victory. A hat-trick in the north London derby and supporters now wish to erect a monument of him. Finishing, poise, he dominated. The best player on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Maybe this is aspect I share with Thomas Tuchel on - he is at a point now where it's going to be extremely tough to leave him out. I felt his beginning was strong the term, I believe he acted with some expectation and thought he maybe have got a move to Chelsea, and probably wanted that, but he has settled down. Two great goals clearly versus Leeds pulled his side when trailing. He was the difference maker.

Strikers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I mentioned he appeared not his normal self. He looked like his pace had gone. However, incredible. Words fail me. He was excellent. Outstanding in his movement and with his two finishes.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A very notable player. He performs strongly, usually better when introduced, but due to Gordon's absence so he has to play. He missed a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his simplest attempt. However showing the mental fortitude to place himself into tough scenarios and net two was remarkable.

Boss

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and outperforms Arne Slot. A wonderful gameplan. It might have been several more for Forest and all would agree.
